Old ways won’t cut it anymore
Your grandma grew up when it was necessary for her to remember all your relatives because many of their parents didn’t have or keep good records. Today, grandma might be able to name your 137 relatives but can’t find YouTube or FB on the Internet, if she even knows what it is. It’s 2014 and grandmas all over the world know, and they are better informed than your grandma.
Since you aren’t learning about the Internet from your grandma and you aren’t learning about the Internet from PSS, you are screwed out of 99.999 percent of all knowledge, and of everything going on in this world. Caprice?
Your grandma has more in common with women in Afghanistan than they do with women in Guam. And, to you women of the CNMI, I know you love your kids but the “old ways” just won’t cut it anymore. You need to march. March like you did in ’84. Only this time march to demand the entire PSS board of education resign along with the commissioner of education.
Galvin Guerrero should be commissioner. YouTube Galvin Guerrero and Rita Sablan and it is very evident why I make this statement. The rest of you women in the CNMI need to take charge. Your “men folk” have messed this place up for 36 years already. Your kids’ future is at stake and if things don’t change real fast, your kids will end up in Texas or Washington, like at least half of all your relatives already are.
You are leaving the 50 rich people here to plunder at will. You need to educate yourselves and the Internet can do it. Do not vote GOP or Democrat, and, don’t vote for any representative or senator that won’t tell you in writing what he promises to do for all the people of the CNMI. Try to keep in mind that there are lots of “women” that live here that aren’t Chamorro and they have kids, just like you do, that they also love and want the best future for. This year’s election is the most important in your 40 year history, don’t make the wrong choice just because “he” tells you who to vote for. You have a mind of your own, please use it.
