HAGATNA, Guam—Bank Guam Holding Co. has received and accepted the voluntary resignation of one of its founding board members, Dr. Luis G. Camacho.

Dr. Camacho, one of Guam’s first dentists and its first orthodontist, served on a number of boards, including being the president of the Guam Dental Society and being on the boards of the Guam Board of Dental Examiners and the Guam Shopping Center.

Lourdes A. Leon Guerrero, BankGuam Holding Co. board chair, president and chief executive officer, stated, “Dr. Camacho has provided sound judgment and counsel during the institution’s founding and later during its expansion, providing astute guidance during its most challenging of times. On behalf of the board, management and staff, we are profoundly thankful for his dedication, loyalty and wisdom. On a personal note, I will miss Dr. Camacho. He supported my father’s vision over 42 years ago, and was steadfast in his support for a strong and growing local bank. I am happy that he has helped to guide our growth and witnessed our enduring success.” (BoG)
