The University of Guam celebrates its 46th Charter Day on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 on the UOG campus. Opening Ceremonies begin at 9am and activities run throughout the day until 5pm.
UOG Charter Day showcases a multitude of activities and events including campus tours, the Annual College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences Research Conference, which features over 60 different presentations, the CHamoru Language Competition, agricultural displays, ROTC tactical demonstrations, Chemistry Titration High School Competition, Isla Center for the Arts exhibit, live music, food, games, and more.
This year, Charter Day also features the finals of the President’s Cup Competition where students, alumni and UOG employees compete in nine different events including basketball, volleyball, badminton, ping pong, dodgeball, 5K run/walk, golf, and more.

[B]Navy to conduct training in Agat Bay [/B]ASAN, Guam—The U.S. Navy will conduct parachute and aircraft training at Agat Bay on Feb. 20 from 7am to noon. This exercise is designed to enhance the training and readiness of military personnel. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see and hear increased activity associated with the exercise. (PR)
[B]UOG announces 2014 Chemistry Titration Competition[/B]As part of UOG Charter Day festivities this year, the University of Guam Chemistry Department is organizing its 6th Annual Titration Competition for high schools on Charter Day, Tuesday, March 11, 2014, from 8:30am to 2pm. The competition will be held in the Chemistry Laboratory Room SC230, at the Science Building on the UOG campus.
All of the high schools in Guam are invited to participate in this event. Each school will be allowed to send two teams to this competition and each team comprises two students. Prizes will be awarded to the top team and top individual. Members of the UOG Chemistry faculty, staff, and students will be facilitating this event.
