[B]Military training on Farallon de Medinilla[/B]The U.S. military will conduct training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla during the following dates and times:
Feb. 12 and 13, from 8am to 10:30pm
Feb. 15, from 8am to 7pm
The general public especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators are advised to stay clear from the area during the times and dates indicated.
The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla training area will be on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants. (PR)
[B]MINA to hold special general membership meeting[/B]The Mariana Islands Nature Alliance will hold a special general membership meeting on Feb. 13, 2014, at 5:30pm at the MINA conference room, Gualo Rai Center, Suite 103. The purpose for the meeting is to discuss and vote on the recommended merger between the Mariana Islands Nature Alliance and Pacific Marine Resource Institute. Projected meeting time is 30 minutes. [B]MIFICPA sets annual tax seminar[/B]The Marianas Institute of Filipino CPAs and Accountants, or MIFICPA, invites the public to this year’s tax seminar on Feb. 15, 2014, Saturday, from 8am to 12pm at the Seaside Hall, Kanoa Resort. This year’s tax seminar will focus on tax updates for 2014, changes in tax laws, tax filing requirements. Registration starts at 7:30am.
Registration fee for members is $20 (includes $5 membership renewal). Non-members and non-accountants are also welcome for the same fee, which includes refreshments and a certificate of attendance.
