2014 Little Miss Pusong Pinoy contestants named
The United Filipino Organization has named the 20 contestants of the 2014 Little Miss Pusong Pinoy competition set for Feb. 16, 6pm-10pm at the Royal Taga Hall of the Saipan World Resort.
The 20 pageant participants include five 9-year-olds, three 8-year-olds, seven 7-year-olds, and five 6-year-olds.
The 9-year-olds are Queen Anne H. Rectitud of William S. Reyes Elementary School, Chyla Geremy T. Aquino of Oleai Elementary School, Trisha Joyce McCarthy of WSR, Juliet D. Inocencio of San Vicente Elementary School, and Jasmin Asia P. Pinili of WSR.
The 8-year-old participants are Angel Lou D. Buensalido of Garapan Elementary School, Claire Elaiza Barrozo of San Antonio Elementary School, and Shaina Heart A. Dimalanta of GES.
Jane Nicole Mozunder of OES, Angela Marie B. Maratas of WSR, Francine Joy Ebuen of GES, Angelica May A. Aquino of SVES, Ramona Camacho of SAES, Tricia Mae V. Faustino of WSR, and Ariel Allyssa Mae of Legaspi Green Meadow School are the 7-year-old contestants.
The 6-year-olds are made up of Lyssa Rae P. Steele of Mt. Carmel School, Donna Rose U. Santiago, Alyrose B. Santos of GES, Charice T. Silvano of WSR, and Shanna Mae Villaluz of Koblerville Elementary School.
The 2014 Little Miss Pusong Pinoy competition is open to girls 6-9 years old with at least one parent who is 100-percent Filipino. Nineteen of the 20 contestants took part in the pageant’s first pictorial last Sunday at the Saipan Music and Dance Studio in Garapan. They’ve also had two rehearsals under their belts.
All 20 candidates will be competing for Best in Talent and Best in Evening Gown. Special awards include Miss Photogenic, Star of the Night, Miss Congeniality, and Darling of the Crowd.
Prizes at stake are $800 for first place, $500 for second place, $300 for third place, and $100 for fourth place. All candidates will also receive certificates of participation and gift packs.
There will be a $1 entrance fee to the 2014 Little Miss Pusong Pinoy, which entitles ticket-holders to join a raffle.
