The general public is invited to welcome home the members of the Guam Army National Guard 1-294th Infantry Regiment, who are arriving on Saipan from Afghanistan deployment today, Jan. 9, 2014, at approximately 8:05am at the Saipan International Airport.

In honor of their service, Gov. Eloy S. Inos will be on-site that day to welcome the 15 arriving soldiers at the Arrival Area of the Saipan International Airport, followed by a motorcade from the Saipan International Airport to the Airport Road/Isa Drive Intersection. The general public is encouraged to participate in this event, and display flags and yellow ribbons to show their support for the arriving Guardsmen.

The Commonwealth Ports Authority is encouraging community members not to leave their vehicles unattended while at the International Airport.
