Scheduled power outage today in Dandan

The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. has scheduled a power interruption today, Dec. 23, 2013, from 9:30am to 1:30pm affecting areas near Dandan, Saipan.

The purpose of the interruption is to de-energize the primary lines to allow the CUC line crew to safely replace a deteriorated primary power pole in Dandan next to Sand St. Water services may be affected in the area during the power interruption; however, all services should be restored after the power is re-energized.

Areas to be affected include Tokpong PI., Hudda Dr., Parasail PI., Gabbe PI., Batu PI., Kamma PI., Hook Ln., Fishing PI., Adios PI., Walking PI., Trolling PI., Sailing Dr., Exchange Ln., Pution Ln., Mapagahes Ln., Pulan Ln., Dandan, Naftan Road, Hawaiian Rock Quarry, Obyan Beach Dr., Dela Concepcion Dr., GPPC Field Office, AARF, and CUC Obyan Water Wells.

Because of the scale of work that will be performed, travelers are urged to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the affected areas. [B][I](CUC)[/I][/B]
