Adding to the cultural landscape and diversity that makes the bustling Northern Marianas Archipelago truly rich and unique is a new Sunday talk show program airing live on Magic 100.3 FM each Sundays from 11am to 1pm, which debuted last Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013.

The program is called Håfa Mohon Marianas!, which means “what if,” appropriately coined to elicit open dialogue and civil public discourse on any and all topics for any listener to participate in and contribute as a fellow resident who calls our Northern Marianas home.

Håfa Mohon Marianas! encourages constructive public discourse purely on issues and the actions (or inactions) of leaders and other influential individuals whose decisions and positions will likely impact our community. This notion is premised on the right of everyone to express his or her feelings. Every feedback is welcome because diversity of opinions and community input are the fundamental elements of a vibrant democracy in order to drive sound public policy and ensure a better quality of life.

The program is live on Sundays from 11am to 1pm, local Chamoru Standard Time in the Marianas. It would also be live streaming from 5pm to 7pm in the U.S. West Coast on Pacific Standard Time, 6pm to 8pm on Central Standard Time, and 7pm to 9pm in the U.S. East Coast on Eastern Standard Time.

Listeners can tune in and participate locally on digital radio station KWAW Magic 100.3 FM or live streaming on TuneIn or Streema smart phone app, or live Internet radio on www.magic100radio.com.

Listeners can participate through call-in, text-in, or e-mail-in. Email is hafamohonmarianas@gmail.com; telephone line is 670-234-5929. Please contact us to join the discussions or to sponsor. (PR)
