A 43-year-old man was arrested late Tuesday afternoon after he allegedly relentlessly harassed his former girlfriend and beating her up.

Lucian Ignacio George also allegedly threatened several times to kill himself in front of the victim.

George was arrested for assault, assault and battery, and disturbing the peace.

At yesterday’s hearing, Superior Court associate judge David Wiseman imposed a $1,750 cash for George’s temporary release. Preliminary hearing will be on Sept. 15.

Detective Peter A. Aldan stated in his report that throughout the relationship, whenever George gets drunk, he would take a knife and threaten to kill himself to show his love for her.

When the relationship ended, George allegedly kept calling the victim on her cell phone and at work. One time, George choked the victim and pinned her against a car.

In July 2011, the victim sought a temporary restraining order after George kept stalking her at her workplace. The court granted the victim a one-year protection from George.
