Trench Tech Purebred Promotions president Cuki Alvarez said the weigh-in will also serve as the deadline for fighters seeing action in ROP 11: Onra to sign their contracts.

In addition, Alvarez said the official rules meeting will also be conducted after tomorrow’s weigh-in.

Competing fight teams along with ring girls-Sarah and Deryielle Sablan-will be on hand to meet and greet mixed martial arts fans and are also available for photo opportunities.

In addition, tickets will be on sale during the weigh-in and will also be available on Friday when the doors of Saipan World Resort’s Royal Taga Ballroom open at 7pm.

Competition starts at 8pm on Friday with a series of K-1 kickboxing bouts, a pair of boxing exhibitions, and an array of MMA matchups, including a highly anticipated featherweight title match between Trench Tech’s Shane “Pikaboo” Alvarez (6-0) and Marianas Elite’s Derrick “El Peligro” Rangamar (3-9).

The Alvarez-Rangamar tiff will lead up to the triple-main event, featuring Saipan brawlers and a pair of challengers from the U.S. mainland.

In K-1, Guam’s John Garcia, of Counter Shot, takes on Zalaka’s Jacob Ilo in a 125-lb match. Guam Muay Thai’s Justin “Dungka” Dizon, meanwhile, challenges Zeng Zung’s Regino Mundo at 150 lbs, while Haga’s Jordan “Jungle Boy” Ogo squares off against Counter Shot’s Jared Santos at 120 lbs.

In boxing, a special female exhibition bout is set between Guam’s Gianna “GiaBaby” Sarusal of Dededo Boxing Club-Lights Out Gym and independent Tara “The Tarantula” Namauleg at 150 lbs.

Trench Tech’s Mark “The Dark” Nuique is also set to dance with Zalaka’s Franklin Agulto at 155 lbs.

The eight MMA matches include: Trench Tech’s Vince Masga vs. Irvin Saralu (155-160 lbs); Trench Tech’s Josh “Chaos” Duenas vs. Counter Shot’s Kevin Miranda (135 lbs); Trench Tech’s Frank Muna vs. Pete Keju (160 lbs); Zalaka’s Joe “Da Combo” Duenas vs. Jason “Ground Maintenance” Teregeyo (135 lbs); Trench Tech’s Walter Florencio vs. Leonard “JC” Cabrera (135 lbs); independents Brandon “Commotion” Camacho vs. Danny “Warrior” Santos (145 lbs); Trench Tech’s “Badd” Brad Palacios vs. Guam’s Mike “The Attack” Limiac, of the Tsunami Gym, (140 lbs); and Trench Tech’s Ryan “Trobz” Ngirbabul vs. Derrick “The Headache” San Nicolas (195 lbs).

The triple-main event starts with Trench Tech’s Fasi “Quick Draw” Jesse (7-3) against USA’s Joseph “J.J.” Ambrose (15-3), of the American Kickboxing Academy and Tiger Muay Thai, at 155 lbs.

Notably, Jesse is coming off a pair of wins since March of this year, while Ambrose is on a five-win streak since late November of 2008.

Marianas Elite’s Maitai “The Charger” Charley (3-7) then takes on USA’s Will “The Kill” Chope (2-4), of Dragon Muay Thai, at 150 lbs, and the evening concludes with a super heavyweight brawl between Trench Tech’s Mylo “AlabaMMA” Lassiter (2-0) against Marianas Elite’s Myron “The Natural” San Nicolas (5-2) at around 230 lbs.

Charley and Chope are both trying to bounce back from recent losses.

San Nicolas holds a size and experience advantage over Lassiter, but has not fought since 2009. However, the latter boasts a pair of swift first round victories

The matchups for ROP 11: Onra are based on the latest tentative fight card, which is subject to changes upon fight night.
