University of Guam Fine Arts students are proud to present three exciting performances in December. All three shows are open to the public and free of charge.

University Music presents “A Potpourri of Recital, Contest and Seasonal Music” which takes place at 8pm on Friday, Dec. 6, at the UOG Fine Arts Theater. This concert will feature fast-paced variety. The UOG Jazz Ensemble will perform a selection of jazzy holiday classics, and student soloists selected from our recent jury and the University Singers in their a cappella style will perform some holiday favorites as well as some selections for their upcoming choral competition.

In addition, University Theatre students will be presenting two performances that are culminations of their work and learning experiences in their acting and playwriting classes.

Exchanges, which consists of original one-act plays by students John Borja, Paulette Coulter, Anissa Ramos, and Andrew Roberto, will take place at 7pm on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at the UOG Fine Arts Theatre. Exchanges is the final product of UOG’s first ever Playwriting class.

On Dec. 17, students from UOG’s Acting I class will end their semester with an exciting final project, the presentation of original theatrical work on stage with the performance of Train of Thought. Eight students will present monologues instructed by Tali Ariav, UOG Acting Instructor and playwright. (UOG)
