The winning talents of Saipan that captured major prizes at this year’s Tumon Bay Music Festival will be coming together in a youth concert this Friday to benefit the Public School System.

The Saipan Southern High School’s Manta Ray Band and Marianas High School Glee Club is teaming up with the Yonsei Academy and the DoReMi Music School in the 1st Youth Music Concert of Saipan on Friday, May 11, at the Charley’s Cabaret of the Pacific Islands Club.

Youngmi Han of Yonsei Academy is putting together this youth music concert that will also feature six pianists and one vocalist. She said that all proceeds from the concert will be donated to PSS.

Han, a piano teacher at the Yonsei Academy, believes that “students’ hard work will give happiness to the people of Saipan.”

Tickets will be sold at the door for $5 each. Donations will also be accepted at the door, to be turned over later to PSS. (Regina Terlaje)
