Calling all past Flame Tree Festival artists

A book that would feature artists who have participated in previous Flame Tree Arts Festival events is currently in the works.
“The Commonwealth Council for Arts and Culture aims to celebrate all artists who have made contributions to the Flame Tree Arts Festival through the years. Through the book project, we intend to highlight their remarkable talents that have produced great works of art that have been displayed in our biggest annual festival,” said executive director Angel S. Hocog.
As part of the Council’s research and preparation for the book project, Hocog said they are seeking the community’s help in locating these artists.
According to Hocog, some of these artists may still be here, moved off-island or have already passed away, which is why they need to get in touch with the deceased artists’ families and friends.
The artists that the Arts Council is trying to locate, including the year they participated in the festival are Brashear, Robert (1993-1994); Camacho, Bernie (1992); Copeland, Patricia (deceased); Cruz, Rolly Ding (1995); Curley, Gary Lee (1993); Dinh, Nyung (2003-2004); Elliott, Sharon (1992); Ellis, Jim (1992-1994); Flores, Tessie (2000); Gu, Sharon Ren (1994); Hartsock, Mike; Harvey, Michael (1992); Howard, Jill (1994); Lely, Bill (1992); Magofna, Manny (Perez); McDonald, Betty (2000, 2003); Meacham, Russ (1994); Mendiola, Jakeson; Meneses, Gigi (1993-1994); Moorleghen, Theresa (1992); Obar, Rino (2007-2008); Pangelinan, John Kyle; Perrson, Gunnar (1995, 1997); Rotbart, Charles (1994); Santos, John Kong; Schumacher, Yvonne (1992); Tapp, Michael J. “We hope that the public will help us in finding these artists or their families and friends and enable us to include them in the book which we plan to publish next y ear in time for the 31st Annual Flame Tree Arts Festival,” said Hocog.
