Federal agents arrested Tuesday two persons who were allegedly involved in selling Viagra-like pills on Saipan.

Sook Lan Wong and Kwok Kwun Lee were taken to the U.S. District Court for the NMI late Tuesday afternoon for a bail hearing.

The indictment charged Wong and Lee with conspiracy, trafficking in counterfeit goods, introducing misbranded drugs into interstate commerce, and receipt and delivery of misbranded drugs.

Wong appeared in court with his lawyer, Stephen Nutting. Lee appeared without counsel. Nutting told the court that he was making special appearance on behalf of Lee.

The two pleaded not guilty.

U.S. District Court for the NMI Chief Judge Ramona V. Manglona set the jury trial for Dec. 27, 2011 at 9am.

Manglona released the two on a $25,000 unsecured bond each, with some conditions.

According to the indictment filed by assistant U.S. attorney Eric O’Malley, Lee sold 30 bottles containing 30 pills each, of counterfeit Viagra, to undercover agents during a sting operation on Feb. 28, 2011.
