Police arrested last week an intoxicated teenager who allegedly beat up a man driving a moped scooter, assaulted another man, then robbed a woman at Pacific Islands Club in San Antonio.

Detective Simon Manacop served an arrest warrant to Nicolas Villanueva Cabrera, 19, on charges of robbery, assault and battery, disturbing the peace, and criminal mischief.

During Thursday’s hearing, Superior Court associate judge Kenneth L. Govendo imposed a $25,000 cash bail on Cabrera.

Govendo ordered the teenager to stay away from PIC, victims, and witnesses.

Preliminary hearing will be on Thursday, Jan. 26, at 9am.

Manacop stated in his report that, on Jan. 7, 2012 at 1:18am, a disturbance was reported to the police that happened along Beach Road by PIC.

Manacop said Police Officer Rudolpho Sablan responded to the scene.

Sablan’s investigation showed that a male staff of PIC had just gotten off from work and was heading north on Beach Road on board a moped scooter.

A teenager later identified as Cabrera, who was standing on the middle of the road, stopped the PIC staff and grabbed the moped’s gas gear.

Cabrera demanded the PIC staff to get off from the moped. When the victim hesitated to get off the moped, Cabrera punched him twice on the helmet he was wearing.

The helmet’s face shield was damaged. The moped’s gas throttle also fell to the ground, damaging the brake handle and gas gear.

The victim’s co-worker came and stopped Cabrera, who then left the scene.

Manacop said that, at 1:35am on that same day, Police Officer Flor Estabillo responded to another disturbance that happened at southern parking area of PIC.

Manacop said the officer learned that while a man was waiting for his girlfriend inside his vehicle parked on the southern parking lot of PIC, he heard a loud thump on his car.

The victim got up and noticed Cabrera standing by the driver side window. Cabrera approached and asked the victim if he had a problem.

The victim got down from the car, but Cabrera allegedly punched him. The victim managed to avoid the punch. Cabrera then ran away.

The victim proceeded to the loading dock area of PIC hoping to get assistance from security personnel.

Cabrera saw a female PIC employee, who had just gotten off from work and was exiting the loading dock area.

Cabrera, who was not wearing any shirt, allegedly followed the woman, grabbed her left buttocks, pulled her shirt, then grabbed the strap of her bag.

Fearing that Cabrera would rape her, the woman shouted for help as she struggled.

Both fell on the pavement just behind the woman’s car. Cabrera grabbed her bag and ran across the street.

The bag contained a wallet, $106 cash, credit and debit cards, an ATM card, identification cards, assorted car keys, and driver’s license.

The woman suffered injuries to the right knee and left elbow.

At 3:10am that same day, two other police officers spotted Cabrera walking along Afetnas Road in San Antonio. After a witness identified Cabrera as the one who beat up the person driving a moped scooter, police then arrested him.

At 9:56am that day, a police officer recovered the woman’s stolen purse on a tree by Cabrera’s residence.
