Docomo presents $5,000 donation to NMC Foundation

In support of the advancement of higher education in the CNMI, Docomo Pacific recently presented a $5,000 donation, composed of a combination of cash and raffles prizes, to the Northern Marianas College Foundation.

The donations were made in support of the upcoming 10th Annual NMC Foundation Open golf tournament on Saturday, June 30, 2012.

“Docomo Pacific is excited to be taking part of the NMC Foundation’s efforts to enhance higher education opportunities for students in the CNMI,” said Docomo Pacific general manager James Nelson.

“We are very grateful to Docomo Pacific and its continued support over the years,” said NMC Foundation president Ivan Quichocho. “The donation contributes significantly to the success of the golf tournament.”

The NMC Foundation is composed of volunteers in the community committed to improving and enhancing higher education opportunities for people in the CNMI. The annual tournament is the Foundation’s signature event.

The 10th Annual NMC Foundation Open golf tournament will be held at the Saipan LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort (West Course) with a shotgun start at 7am and will follow a medal play format. There will be six separate flight categories: Championship, A, B, C, Seniors, and Ladies. The entrance fee is $95 per player.

Registration forms for the golf tournament can be downloaded from www.nmcnet.edu, or picked up at the at Marianas Country Club, Saipan Country Club, Dandan Golf Range, Kingfisher Golf Links, Coral Ocean Point, and All Star Sporting Goods. Payments for the registration fee can be made at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort, Triple J Motors, and the NMC Cashier.

In addition, tournament prizes for first place for each of the six flights include cash and roundtrip tickets to various destinations in the Pacific on United Airlines. Hole-in-one prizes include a 2012 Hyundai Accent donated by Triple J Motors.
