Norita, Camacho lead batting race in Budweiser league

Natibu’s Bruce Norita and Sakudi’s Bert Camacho are the frontrunners in the batting race in the 2nd Annual Budweiser Chamolinian Softball League.

Norita upholds a stout 0.885 batting average ahead of X-clusive’s Vince Cepeda, Man Amigos’ Jerry Guerrero, Your Balls’ Audie Maratita, Man Amigos’ Roy Celis, Familia’s Colin Reyes and Lawrence Dikito, SaiPal’s Lis Ngiraikelau, Manelos’ Niko Martin and SaiPal’s Marino Hiroichi.

Cepeda leads in runs batted in with 28 with Norita (26), G-Ballers’ Asap Ogumoro (23), Ngiraikelau (22), G-Ballers’ Jay Salalila (21), Martin (20), Maratita (19) and Familia duo JD Dikito (19) and Patrick Guerrero (19) all in the race.

Guerrero and G-Ballers’ Leo Blas both lead in runs scored with 21, however Blas’ teammates Jude Dickinson and Paul Salalila, Maratita and SaiPal’s Lefty Shiro are hot in pursuit.

Berdax’s Frank Robert, Paul Salalila, Manelos’ Shane Mendiola, Talu Fahn’s Eric Cabrera and Natibu’s John Reyes each have two triples, which lead 21 others with one apiece. Angel Reyes is topping the field in doubles with six in front of both Oliver Secharmedal of Your Balls and Dickinson’s four with Celis, Berdax’s Jesse Tenorio, Gagu Eye’s Swain Cangco, Saipal’s Kuich Damian, Familia’s Nizer Masayos, Warriors’ Josh Garde, Maratita, and Your Balls trio JP Lizama, Marvin Kaipat and Mike Taitano all scoring three thus far.

In the women’s division, Camacho boasts an 0.840 hitting rate to lead Enamo Meta’s Julie Guerrero (0.760), teammates Liz Lebria (0.630) and Eileen Babauta (0.625), 670 Babes’ Tani Masga (0.591), Enamo’s Evelyn Kani (0.545), Check It Out’s Keolani Rios (0.522), Enamo’s Cleo Baulechong (0.519), Sakudi’s Thelma Mizer (0.478) and 670’s Edilyn Benjamin (0.462). The stats were based on 12 at bats or more.

Mizer and Check It’s Jovie Omar hold a share of the lead in RBIs with 13 each, ahead of Kani (9), Sakudi’s Kiki Aldan (70), Babauta (7) Camacho (7), Julie Guerrero (7), Lebria (7), Masga (7), Check It’s Minami Tadokoro (7), Benjamin (6), and Vanessa Williams (6).

Lebria’s 17 runs are ahead of Baulechong (16), Sakudi’s Juljean Ngeskebei (14), Camacho (13), Julie Guerrero (13), 670’s Catalina Dela Cruz (12), Benjamin (12), 670’s Melissa Benjamin (12), Check It’s Janelle Brel (12), and Rios (12).

Lebria also paces the field in triples with three, ahead of Melissa Benjamin’s two; 10 others have one.

Babauta’s three doubles lead a handful of others with two apiece; 13 ladies have one each.

[B]Taisacan, Matsumoto top pitching[/B]

In pitching, Berdax hurler Ben Taisacan has allowed 12 earned runs through 15 innings off 26 hits for a 5.60 Earned Run Average to head the category ahead of Elias’ Rodney Camacho (43ER/52IP/115H/5.79 ERA), Gagu’s JR Brel (50ER/60IP/123H/5.83ERA), Man-Amigos’ Mike Sablan (27ER/31.1IP/59H/6.08ERA), X-clusive’s John Acosta (8ER/9.1IP/8H/6.15ERA), Gagu’s Ping Santos (8ER/9IP/22H/6.22ERA), Saipal’s Leo Bobai (41ER/45.1IP/91H/6.36ERA), 6-Pack’s Mel Aldan (18ER/19IP/60H/6.63ERA), and Natibu’s Jerry Guerrero (51ER/52IP/115H/6.87ERA).

Bobai, Paul Salalila, Managaha’s Emilio Santos Jr. and Frank Ermitanio share the lead in strikeouts with 11.

Check It Out’s Eula Matsumoto has allowed just one earned run through seven innings off 11 hits to top the women’s field with an even 1.00 ERA. Babauta (6ER/33IP/47H/1.27ERA), Enamo’s Felisa Brel (3ER/11IP/23H/1.91ERA), Omar (9ER/25IP/48H/2.52ERA), Rookies’ Connie Lizama (9ER/17IP/29H/3.71ERA), and 670 duo Dolorina Panuelo (13ER/21IP/43H/4.33ERA) and Semerina Simram (16ER/22.1IP/67H/5.07ERA) are also on the list.

Babauta also leads in strikeouts with 17, ahead of Laniyo (10), Deleon Guerrero (10), Omar (9) and Simram (9).
