Grace Christian Academy bestowed its highest academic honors on Da Bin No and Jae Kwang Oh, who were hailed valedictorian and salutatorian of this year’s batch of high school graduates. The GCA Class of 2012 was presented their diplomas Friday night on campus.

Da Bin No, 18, is the daughter of Won Ei No and Sun Young Kang. She led this year’s graduating class of 24 high school students and was named recipient of other awards and recognition, including A honor roll, highest GPA, and the school’s prestigious Eagle Award, which was presented by Rev. Raymond Kinsella and principal Marsha Owens.

No recognized her parents, mentors, friends, and peers for being instrumental in the success of her high school journey. No will pursue college in Korea and plans to major in international studies or English.

In her valedictory address, No urged her fellow graduates to continue to strive for excellence.

“A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing. Diligence overcomes intelligence. Never give up on what you want to do. I have no doubt that each and every one of you will turn out to be very successful. You have the potential. Never doubt yourself and keep trying. Success is not about numbers. It’s about loving and enjoying what you are doing,” she said.

This year’s salutatorian, Jae Kwang Oh, will further his education at Northern Marianas College where he will pursue his dream of becoming a teacher.

The 18-year-old Oh was also the recipient of other special recognitions including principal’s list and A honor roll.
