Some 30 mothers were serenaded by their children during Li’l Hands School of Music 6th Annual Musical Recital-A Mother’s Day Tribute held last May 13 at the American Memorial Park Theater.

According to Li’l Hands School of Music piano teacher Joyce Dimaun more than 130 attended the recital and all were treated to voices and piano performances rendered by the school’s students from the early beginner level to intermediate level.

In the early beginner piano solos some of those who performed were Jan Marini P Millo (Mary Had a Little Lamb) and Donato Santiago Jr. (By The River’s Edge)

Late beginner piano duets, meanwhile, saw Gianpaolo Borromeo and Maxine Rabago perform You Light Up My Life and Isabella Nicole Edgar & Clarisse Noelle Torio tickle the piano keys with their rendition of Listen to the Drum.

Mary Grace Tiglao and Allexa Murielle C. Go also played Sonatina 1st Movement by Clementi and La Chevalevesque by Burgmuller.

“My mom is a never-ending song in my heart of comfort, happiness, and being. I sometimes forget the words but I always remember the tune,” students of Li’l Hands School of Music were quoted during the presentation.

Dimaun expressed her heartfelt thanks to the students and parents/guardians who made Mother’s Day a memorable one with the staging of the recital.

She also extended her gratitude to Ranger Nancy Kelchner for the use of the American Memorial Theatre as well as to National Office Supply ad HBR International for being the event’s major sponsors. (PR)
