PITI, Guam-Guam and CNMI residents have until Monday, Oct. 31, to submit public comments about the Department of Defense Public Access Plan.

The Public Access Plan is required by the Guam and CNMI Programmatic Agreement associated with the Marine Corps realignment. The plan is intended to facilitate visits to cultural and historic sites of interest and significance located on DoD properties in Guam and the CNMI.

“The PA requires close coordination with signatories, invited signatories, concurring parties and interested members of the public,” said Jennifer Farley, NAVFAC Marianas natural resources specialist. “The extra time for public comments is our continued commitment to partner with the Guam and CNMI State Historic Preservation Offices and stakeholders.”

Interested members of the public may download comment forms at the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Pacific Cultural Resources Information website: http://bit.ly/NAVFAC-GuamPA, or at the Guam SHPO website: http://www.historicguam.org.
