NMI Chapter gets Gold Excel Award from SHRM

The Society for Human Resource Management in Alexandria, VA has awarded the Gold Excel Award designation to the NMI Chapter for its scope of work achieved in 2011.

The Excel Award is the recognition component of the SHRM Affiliate Program for Excellence or SHAPE. SHAPE measures include alignment with SHRM’s overall objectives, strategic focus and initiatives as well as promoting the HR profession at the local level.

“This recognition demonstrates both the leadership and the successful partnership the chapter has with SHRM to serve the networking and professional development needs of human resource professionals and to the advancement of the human resources profession,” said Pamela J. Green, SPHR, vice president, U.S. Membership for SHRM.

“This award designation is truly evident of the hard work of our 2011 board members. Thank you to our 2011 board members: Debra T. Camacho (Pacific Trading Co.), Nora Mae Sablan (TakeCare/FHP), Ernie Lacorte (SDA Clinic), Malou Ernest (Tan Holdings), Josephine Mesta (Hyatt), Eric Plinske (StayWell Insurance) and Frank Gibson (HR Support),” states Polly DLG. Masga, the chapter’s 2011 president.

In recognition of this award, the NMI Chapter receives a certificate of recognition, a specialized banner to display at its meetings and events, and is being recognized in SHRM’s publications and at its conferences.
