Try Luck snaps winning streak in Ladies League
Jonny’s Bar & Grill’s Try Luck broke a lengthy winning streak on Monday when they bowed to Joe’s Steakhouse’s Just Like Dat, 8-7, in Monday’s Saipan Electronic Dart Association’s Ladies division matchup.
In addition, SOS Bar & Grill’s Mixblood Shooters II, VFW Post 3457’s Good Guys II, and SOS’ DJ Fish are the current leaders of the A, B-Flame Tree, and B-Fanihi divisions after the conclusion of the most recent 2012 Bud Light Winter-Summer league matchups.
On Monday, Just Like Dat (64-56) pulled out the stunner over division leader Try Luck at home at Joe’s. However, the latter still maintains a firm grip over the Ladies field with an overall win-loss card of 85-35.
Although the loss caused a small chink in Try Luck’s honor, it is nice to see a group make a stand for a change against the dominators of the division.
Meanwhile, Naked Fish Bar & Grill’s Man Amigas chipped away at its deficit with a much-needed 10-5 victory over VFW’s B-52’s. The win left them knotted at second place with its opponents in the standings as both teams hold equal 71-49 slates.
In other results, Joe’s Daffodils (47-73) survived SOS’ Daarty Deedz (38-82), 8-7, on the road and 19th Holes’ Team Reapers (53-67) defeated Bammy’s Restaurant & Bar’s Momes’i Mei (51-69), 10-5, also in a road match.
Also on Monday, A Division’s Mixblood II defeated Bammy’s third place Bud Brothers (74-62), 11-6, at home to improve its record to 81-55.
Despite the sound victory, Mixblood II holds the top by just three games as Bammy’s Sabalu (78-58) pummeled Sand’s Juvy Predators (54-82), 14-3, on the road.
In other results, Bammy’s Celebrity (68-68) evened its overall card with a 12-5, home shellacking of SOS’ 101 Proofers (65-71) and the VFW Primos (55-81) escaped Naked Fish’s Naked Fish Boyz (69-67), 9-8, for a sweet upset at home.
B-Flame Tree’s Good Guys II found a way past SOS bottomfeeder What U Got (45-60), 8-7, on the road to improve to 62-43.
Four games back in second place sits Joe’s Skoregazzzums (58-47) who feasted on Bammy’s Lilapuching (47-58), 11-4, at home.
In other results, Jonny’s third place Rehab (55-50) defeated sister team Retsa-Sakude II! (51-54), 9-6, in a home draw and 19th Hole Bar’s Dart Freaks (49-56) drilled The Water Front (53-52), 10-5, for a cheeky road upset.
Also on Thursday, DJ Fish outlasted sister team Lights Out (59-46), 8-7, in a home draw to reestablish its reign atop B Fanihi and improve to 70-35.
Bammy’s third place DRP-2 (55-50) surpassed IT&E’s Na’Gupu (48-57), 9-6, in a road match at Naked Fish to gain some ground on second-ranked Lights Out.
In other results, VFW’s Dutty Gunz (47-58) downed Es’y Kitchen’s Kitchen Shooters (49-56), 8-7, in an upset at home and Poseidon’s One Shot (44-61) pulled off a close 8-7 home upset over Jonny’s Adventurers (48-57).
