Wild Bill’s, Tan Holdings still clean
Wild Bill’s is still unscathed in three games, following a 3-0 triumph over SKY FC last Sunday at the Oleai Sports Complex Field.
Late goals in the first and second halves gave Wild Bill’s a 3-0-0 win-draw-loss record in Division A for the lead against four other squads. SKY absorbed its second loss and has yet to make it to the win column as its first game of the season resulted in a draw.
Jack Thoensaket put Wild Bill’s in the scoreboard, three minutes before the first half ended. Then in the second half, Dan Wollack scored in the 87th minute and one minute later, Naronchai Kamra also found the back of the net.
[B]Paire 2, KFAS 1[/B]In another Division A game last weekend, late goals also allowed Paire to slip past Korean Football Association on Saipan.
KFAS drew first blood when Sung Ho Kong scored in the 12th minute for their 1-0 halftime lead. KFAS hung on to the driver’s seat midway in the second half before Tyler Willsey made the equalizer at the 74:30 mark. Then about five minutes later, Steve McKagan scored his first goal to break the deadlock and Paire remained steady in the closing minutes to steal the win.
Paire notched its second win in three games, while KFAS remained winless with two draws and two losses.
Tan Holdings 4, Matansa 0
In the lone Division B game last Sunday, Tan Holdings shut out Matansa.
Amzad Hossain Khan got things going for Tan Holdings when he nailed the first goal in the game in the 34th minute. Khan attacked from the right sideline and then kicked the ball, which soared up and Matansa Zaw Moe leaped to catch the leather, but failed.
Tan Holding’s three other goals were all posted in the second half with Jason Chung scoring in the 53rd minute and Jun Jie Cui hitting back-to-back goals (72nd and 88th).
The game against Matansa was Tan Holding’s second in a week, as it also played MP United last Wednesday and forced a 1-1 draw.
Cui scored Tan Holding’s lone goal (16th minute) against MP United, which got a penalty kick from Kiyoshi Sekiguchi in the 30th minute.
Tan Holdings now has a 3-1-0 slate in the four-team field, while MP United holds a 1-2-0 card. Matansa has a 1-1-2 record, while Shirley’s FC owns a 0-0-3 mark.
