National team softball fundraiser

The SMLBA and the CNMI National Baseball team, meanwhile, are hosting a fundraiser softball tournament on Nov. 11 and 12 at the Capital Hill Ballfield.

The event aims to help defray both some of SML’s operational costs and pay outstanding obligations the gold medal team incurred from the 2011 Pacific Games.

Organizers are hoping to enlist at least 10 teams for the event.

The entrance fee is set at $100; checks are to be made out to the SMLBA.

Additional information can be obtained through any CNMI national team player or by contacting CNMI nationals manager and SMLBA official Tony Rogolifoi at 288-5426.
