Saipan and Northern Islands Municipal Council chair Ramon B. Camacho is seeking companies or individuals who can donate one 5-gallon container of yellow paint to be used for road curbs and bumps along Alaguan St.

Camacho said they already have one container of yellow paint which will be used on Saturday by volunteers, most of whom are residents along the street.

He said the volunteers will do the painting of the road curbs and bumps along Alaguan St. initially before they proceed to other streets in Koblerville and other villages on island.

“We will complete Alaguan St. because we want to make it a model for the other streets,” Camacho told Saipan Tribune.

Camacho disclosed that he wants more businesses and community members involved in the Neighborhood Watch Task Force-related projects so they can take ownership of the results.

Last Wednesday, P&A Corp. presented a newly renovated bus stop by the P&A Laundromat in Koblerville. P&A general manager Ho Joon Jo, Camacho, Koblerville Neighborhood Watch Task Force members, and police officers were at the site for the formal handover of the project.

“You make them involved in anything and the sense of care is there, that’s why we need more people to participate and have a sense of ownership,” Camacho explained.
