Based on the information received from the National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam and compiled by the CNMI Emergency Management, fresh to strong trade winds and combined seas of 9 to 10 feet will persist through the weekend.

A small craft advisory is now in effect through Saturday morning. From Saturday night to Tuesday, northeast wind is projected at 20 knots, with wind waves of 4-6 feet and a northeast swell of 6-8 feet. On Wednesday, an east wind is projected at 15 knots, with wind waves of 3-5 feet and a northeast swell of 7-8 feet.

EMO is strongly advising the general public to avoid venturing near exposed reefs and beaches, especially those along east facing reefs where rip currents will be hazardous. (EMO)
