The Turtle Advocate and Guardian Society or TAGS, the CNMI’s turtle conservation non-profit organization, would like to express their sincere gratitude to all the sponsors, donors, as well as everyone who joined in on the festivities for making the Candyland party one of TAGS’ most successful fundraisers yet.

Organized by Bernard Rivera, hosted by Docomo’s Nola Hix, and inspired by Katy Perry’s music video California Gurls and the Hasbro board game Candyland, “As Sweet as Candyland” was an event to remember. The crowd was in an uproar the entire night with the auction, musical men, costume contest, and other fun games and prizes.

TAGS has much more in store, including a recruitment dinner, an islandwide art contest for students, and the TAGS semi-annual Art Gala. Also, TAGS is gearing up for turtle season and is looking for volunteers to join the beach walks and help with other turtle conservation projects. Go to the TAG’s Facebook page for further details.

“Thank you again to everyone who was a part of making the fundraiser party such a successful event! And a very special thanks to our sponsors. We can’t emphasize enough how vital it has been to have the partnership of our local businesses and the continued support of our wonderful community and volunteers. We look forward to seeing everyone out at the beach walks and our other events. It should be a very exciting turtle season,” said TAGS’ QuynhChi Nguyen.

TAGS sponsors include Godfather’s Bar, PIC, DFS, Monika’s Furniture, Docomo Pacific, Seventh Day Adventist, Marpac, Marianas Trekking, Serenity Salon & Spa, Marianas Resort & Spa, IT&E, Casa Urashima, Megabyte, Hyatt Regency Saipan, Advance Language & Academic Institute, and Sweet Escape.
