The Worldwide CNMI Marriage Encounter organizing committee has planned a Valentine rendezvous for its encountered couples in the Commonwealth, with the theme “Tonight I celebrate my love island style.”

“Many couples have gone through the marriage encounter program in the Commonwealth. It is our desire to see our encountered couples to come and join us as we continue to build stronger marriages and our faith with our religion through this effort,” said Linda Pangelinan.

The event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Saipan poolside on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, and will include dancing, fun, love, fellowship, and laughter, with food prepared by Hyatt chefs followed by entertainment scheduled for the evening.

Marriage Encounter has grown tremendously, its teaching and practices the touchstone of couples who share the same values in marriage—its Covenant. The community has grown in number and their efforts to hosting each worldwide Marriage encounter weekend through tireless volunteers continue to make a positive statement about the island and its people.

“This function ties our community as one. Our encountered couples from when this was first conceptualized in the ’70s will see how vast the movement has become. The joys of ensuring stronger marriages and stronger in faith has brought much love to a community that believes in togetherness,” said Lynette Camacho.

Marriage Encounter is not about fixing marriages that are or may be broken, but rather making it better. It stresses that your marriage is worth more than you think. Being encountered will open up many opportunities to building a new extended family beyond what is seen from the outside. Hundreds strong, the Worldwide CNMI Marriage Encounter will continue to make headway for strengthening marriages through love and faith in the CNMI.

The Valentine Rendezvous on Saturday is open to all encountered couples. For more information or for ticket purchase, contact Linda or Lynette at linpangelinan@gmail.com or islandpetals@gmail.com. (PR)
