Homicide at the mall

Crime Stoppers is seeking the community’s assistance for information on a homicide that occurred recently at La Fiesta Mall, San Roque.

On Feb. 5, at about 5:45pm, police received a report of a missing person. Emerita Relata Romero, 37, was last seen at approximately 3am earlier that same morning getting into a green- or blue-colored sedan that traveled east by Garapan Market and north on Chalan Pale Arnold.

Romero was wearing a grey sleeveless blouse with a flower on the left corner, black shorts, and sandals with jewels. Emerita has a slender build, 5’6” tall, 100 lbs, long straight dark hair, and brown eyes.

On Feb. 7, 2012, at approximately 2:44pm, FBI agents informed DPS of the discovery of a female body believed to be that of Romero at the La Fiesta Mall in San Roque.

The Department of Public Safety extends deep gratitude to all the volunteers and members of the community for their assistance and support.
