The American Red Cross-NMI Chapter will host its walkathon on March 24, 2012, at the 4-H building in Susupe as well as on Rota and Tinian. Event co-chairs Jocelyn Deleon Guerrero and Juan Lizama are now preparing for the best event ever!

The Transpac Group of companies composed of Coke, Subway, Foremost, and Glimpses will again be a premier sponsor, according to John Hirsh, executive director of the NMI Chapter.

“We highly value all the contributions from Transpac. Their group of companies always makes our event extra special,” said Hirsh.

The Red Cross Walkathon is the largest walking event in the Commonwealth with more than 2,500 participants from Rota, Tinian, and Saipan. The Walkathon is a key partnership with PSS and private schools to promote wellness and physical activity while supporting the humanitarian mission of the Red Cross.

This year there will again be a health fair, games, T-shirts, petting zoo and lots more. For more information call the Red Cross at 234-3459.
