[B]Cancer walk today[/B]

The Cervical Cancer Awareness Health Walk will be held today, Jan. 25, at 4pm, from the American Memorial Park parking lot to the 13 Fishermen’s Pavilion. The first 75 registered participants will receive an incentive. [B][I](PR)[/I]

MHS calendar of activities[/B]

The Marianas High School PTA is encouraging all Dolphin parents and guardians to attend its second quarterly meeting on Thursday, Feb. 2, at the school’s new Dolphin Theater located in the T building, from 4pm to 6pm. Students will be released at 1pm on that day. The second quarter report cards will be distributed to parents after attending the PTA meeting. Important discussion will be on election of officers for 2012-2013, possible requirement of parent report card, update of ongoing projects, and presentation on PSS Core Standards Curriculum.

* Jan. 23-27: Final week
* Jan. 27: Last day of 2nd Quarter
* Jan. 30: Beginning of 3rd Quarter
* Feb. 2: Report card day, 4pm-6pm. Student dismissed at 1pm.

[B]Half-days, PTSA meeting at Kagman High[/B]

Kagman High School students are scheduled for half days today, Jan. 25, and tomorrow, Jan. 26, 2012. Dismissal time will be at 1pm. The purpose is to help students focus on the final exams assigned those days. This will also allow time for teachers to get grading and grade inputting done.

Deadline extended for Tinian scholarships[/B]

The Tinian Municipal Scholarship Board is informing applicants–new, continuing, and returning–that the submission deadline has been extended until Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012. Continuing applicants submission requirements are an original transcript, class schedule, and memorandum of agreement. All new applicants that have yet to submit their requirement deficiencies are requested to comply on or before Jan. 31, 2012. First aid training today[/B]
