Just do it!

I now live in California but I was here a few years ago and I left because I saw and felt that the people of the CNMI have lost their passion for our island. It was all about the money and who had the most of it. Rich or poor, you are responsible for what belongs to you! Government is a given and there is nothing you can really do about that…but you don’t have to wait for someone to tell you that the trash needs to be taken out! C’mon now…the younger generations are leaving our islands because they have ideas that have fallen on deaf ears! The people of the Mariana Islands need to get together. Have a community gathering and work together to form groups to monitor the happenings within their own villages. If there is an issue then the groups should figure out a way to fix it. Don’t wait ’til it gets out of hand. Look at the situation, think of ways to repair and resolve it. Like they say: “Just do it.” Stop passing the buck and pointing the fingers nai! And the government? Well, that’s another 55 gallon of basula [trash] that needs to be sanitized, deodorized and disposed of.
