Tag-Team 8-Ball deadline set this Monday

Monday, Jan. 16, is the deadline to register for 19th Hole Bar’s Islander Tag Team 8-Ball League.
The event starts on Jan. 21 and runs through Feb. 12 at the bar’s new location in Puerto Rico, north of Grand Market along Middle Road.
The event is formatted as a best-of-three game series with two-person teams.
Each player will compete in a singles match coupled with a doubles game.
Two pairings will be played every Saturday and Sunday starting at 7:30pm.
The tournament is not open to the advanced-level players in the Saipan Billiards Association’s Agingan division.
There is a $20 entrance fee per team and the deadline to register is Monday, Jan. 16.
The event is open to the first eight teams that sign up.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three place finishers based on a predetermined point system.
Formerly known as the USS Peleliu Club, the 19th Hole Bar relocated last fall. They offer darts, billiards, and music entertainment in a refreshing sports bar setting. The establishment recently received a special plaque of appreciation from the SBA at its 2011 Summer/Fall Budweiser Open 8-Ball League awards banquet last Sunday.
