Doing the right thing

Recently, a woman lost a discrimination suit that she filed against Saipan Grand Hotel under the direction of Mr. Ed Cho as general manager and Joe Ada as the Human Resource manager. Perhaps many people will believe that the case was won under what they may term as “luck” but I believe that Mr. Ada’s knowledge in the human resource field, specifically knowing how to deal with sexual harassment activities, provided an effective and easy representation in the court of law.

Mr. Ada’s addition to the organization is a plus. When he first started working for Grand Hotel, his quest was to elevate the percentage of the U.S. workforce population and be in compliance with legal requirements. Everyone can see the gradual upgrading and turn over. He is one human resource manager who is easy to deal with because he knows a lot and is always mindful of employer-employee labor relations when selecting and hiring candidates to fill their needs.

I have had the opportunity to work with Mr. Ada in both labor and employment issues. He is not one who pretends to know what he needs to do, but makes sure that he knows and does the right thing. The victory of this first of its kind case must account for what he did upon the appearance of the discrimination. Doing the right thing resulted in this victory.

Keep up the good work, Joe. Now you know that what you did is the right thing to do. Congratulations to Ed Cho as well for I know that he has every confidence in his Human Resource manager and allows him to operate, resulting in this good product. Merry Christmas.
