Jonny’s Bar & Grill’s IT&E Voyagers and Wild Bill’s Bar & Grill’s Shark Attack are both fighting their way through rough water after the conclusion of Tuesday’s Saipan Billiards Association 2011 Budweiser Summer/Fall 8-Ball League matchups.

IT&E Voyagers hold a nine-game lead atop the Agingan Division and Shark Attack boasts a 10-game margin in the Obyan Division. However, the two leaders are showing signs of perhaps losing their swagger.

It was not pretty, but the IT&E Voyagers found a way past the Docomo Hustlers (55-43), 4-3, at home to improve to 71-27.

It was all tied up heading into the final doubles pairing against its Docomo rivals when Voyagers’ Rolly Villanueva and Luis Fajardo pulled it together in the clutch to clinch the match with a two-game sweep.

In other results, the IT&E Incredibles endured a tough, 3-4, upset at home in Sand’s Bar to Jonny’s Home Boyz Five (53-45), but still remain in second spot at 62-32; and Joe’s Sports Bar’s Fotten Palau (26-72) pulled out a 5-2 upset on the road over VFW Post 3457’s X-Tream (27-71).

Meanwhile, Obyan’s Shark Attack is licking its wounds after a surprising 1-6 road loss to the last place Titans (42-56) at 19th Hole Sports Bar.

Shark Attack’s record fell to 60-38, but still leads the division by double digits.

In other results, second-ranked Team SCS (50-48) outlasted 19th Hole’s Poksu (47-51), 4-3, in a home match at Jonny’s, while Jonny’s Crazy 8 (49-49) routed Pirata (46-52), 6-1, on the road at D’Pirates Bar.
