SCC Golf Tournament set for Dec. 17
The 4th Annual Saipan Chamber of Commerce Holiday Golf Tournament is scheduled for Dec. 17 at Suwaso Corp.’s Coral Ocean Point Golf Resort in Koblerville.
The event is formatted as a two-person scramble and show time is set for 6am with a 7am shotgun start.
Proceeds from the event will go toward the Chamber’s Educational Committee and its education and scholarship awards.
Early registration is open now for $95 per player. Registration the day of the tournament is set at $105 per player, all of which covers greens fees, prizes, and entrance into the awards banquet.
Award categories include men’s low gross, men’s low net, and women’s low net. Net scores will be tallied using a double peoria format. Cash prizes of $600 goes to each first place finisher with $300 for the runners-up and $200 apiece for third place.
In addition, there are four hole-in-one prizes including a chance to win $25,000 provided by Bank of Hawaii, a Hyundai Accent provided by Triple J Motors, and a pair of chances to win $5,000 from Takagi & Associates and Century Insurance/AON.
Closest to the pin prizes include roundtrip tickets to Japan and the U.S. mainland courtesy of Delta Airlines. There will also be long drive challenge prizes as well.
Originally planned for October, organizers decided to move the event closer to Christmas to compliment the array of raffle prizes up for grabs at the awards banquet held after the tournament.
Founded in 1959 and incorporated in 1976, the Chamber is the largest private business organization in the CNMI and works to promote and protect CNMI’s business, economic and civic interests, and its general health and welfare.
