Over 100 runners in Turkey Trot tomorrow

Northern Marianas Athletics will be holding the 27th Annual Mt. Tapochao Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot Fun Run tomorrow with the association expecting over 100 runners joining the traditional race.

The 4.2-mile run to the highest peak on the island will start at 6am at Lower Base. Registration begins at 5am with $7 and $10 entry fees for U18 and adult runners, respectively.

Last year’s race drew about 100 participants led by top overall finisher and open division winner Keum Bae Ji (39:22). Mamiko Oshima-Berger timed in at 42:55 to rule the women’s division and will be gunning for her fourth straight championship tomorrow.

Other division winners in last year’s race were Joshalyn Flores, John Auther, Reylynn Sapong, Michael Mancao, Butch Sublemente, Rebecca Iseman, Amber Sarkkinen, Adam Whitty, Joe Auther, Marcia Schultz, and Caesar Danao.
