Easy victories in men’s league
Week 4 of the 2011 NMIFA Men’s Fall League had three teams cruising past their respective foes last Sunday at the Hopwood Junior High School Field.
Inter Godfather’s topped the list of squads that notched easy victories last week after whipping out MP United B, 9-1.
Gilmark Reusora led Inter Godfather’s demolition, as he completed a hat-trick, while Chris Nelson contributed two goals, and four other players—Masatoshi Otsuka, Peter Loken, Edwin Cruz, and Takahashi Suguru—made it to the scoreboard.
Inter Godfather’s is still unbeaten in four games to strengthen its hold to the top spot in Group B, while MP United B absorbed its second loss in three matches.
Inter Godfather’s was right on target at the very beginning of the match with Nelson scoring in the first minute. The eventual winning team added four more in the first half, with three of them coming from Reusora for a 5-1 lead.
Seong Joon Lee put MP United B in the scoreboard in the 14th minute.
In the second half, Inter Godfather’s continued to put on a show with Nelson nailing his second goal and Loken, Cruz, and Suguru chipping in one apiece.
[B]SKF FC 4, KFAS 1[/B]In another Group B match, SKY FC coasted to back-to-back victories after downing Korean Football Association on Saipan.
Guang Lin Li made twin goals for SKY FC in the first half for a 3-0 cushion at the break. Li scored his first goal in the 12th minute, eight minutes after Ji Hyun Lee gave SKF FC its first goal. Then nine minutes before the first half buzzer sounded, Li hit another goal.
Both teams struggled in the majority of the second half before Min Jong Choi finally broke SKY FC’s silence with a goal in the 68th minute. Then KFAS avoided a shutout when An Zhi Quiang scored eight minutes before the game ended.
SKY FC improved to a 2-0-2 slate for second place in Group B.

MP United A 3, Paire 1[/B]
In Group A results, Dae Min Jeon logged twin goals in the second half to lift MP United A to a win over Paire.
The victory moved MP United back into the second spot with its 3-0-1 win-draw-loss record behind the undefeated Wild Bill’s (4-0-0).
MP United posted the first goal in the match with Woo Ho Jin finding the back of the net in the 27th minute. However, Paire’s Steve McKagan scored nine minutes later to even up the game. The match remained in a deadlock at halftime, as neither team hit a goal in the remaining nine minutes of the first half.
Both teams remained quiet in the first few minutes of the second half before Dae Min Jeon found an opening on Paire’s defense and scored in the 55th minute to give MP United a 1-2 lead. Jeon got his second goal off a penalty kick in the 78th minute to seal the win.
[B]Wild Bill’s 9, Shirley’s FC 0[/B]In other results this week, Wild Bill’s clobbered Shirley’s FC at the Oleai Sports Complex Field.
As expected, Jeeraphong Thoensaket delivered the most goals for Wild Bill’s with four, while Dan Westphal chipped in two. Lar Wongpaya and Adul Detdon contributed one each and Wild Bill’s received one more goal off a Shirley’s FC miscue.
With the win, Wild Bill’s kept its unbeaten record in four games to stay on top in Group A. Shirley’s FC is still winless after three matches.
