Two in a row for Independents FC

Independents FC notched back-to-back wins in the non-competitive division of the 2011 NMIFA Women’s Futsal Fall League this week after prevailing over MP United 2 and Shirley’s FC at the Saipan Soccer School pitch.

In the first game last Monday, Independents Kiriyaporn Thosa scored twin goals, while Malijan Scanudom added one to lift their team to a victory over MP United 2, 3-1.

Thosa found the back of the net for the first time in the seventh minute of the second half and had her second goal four minutes later. Scanudom also made it to the scoreboard in the second half with her goal in the 14th minute.

MP United drew its lone goal from Leriza DeBrum in the eighth minute of the second half.

Independents then played Shirley’s FC last Wednesday and won anew, 2-1.

Yenthaisong Lamyuan and Thosa scored in the 12th and 13th minute, respectively for Independents, while Shirley’s only goal in the game came in the 16th minute, courtesy of Kyla Ito.

[B]Paire FC 5, MP United 2 3[/B]

Still in the non-competitive results, Paire downed MP United 2.

Temary Gramlich was unstoppable in Paire’s victory, as she made four goals. She had three and Paire was credited with an own goal off MP United 2’s error for a 4-0 halftime lead.

MP United 2 drilled all its goals in the first half with Laarni Zapanta scoring in the fourth and 17th minute and Amy Ouito-Weiss in the 19th minute.

[B]Shirley’s 5, MP United 1 0[/B]

In last Monday’s non-competitive results, two Shirley’s strikers recorded twin goals apiece for a shutout win over MP United 1.

Jaime Mendoza broke the ice for Shirley’s with only 10 minutes gone by in the game. Ito then scored two minutes later, while Lily Williams made it a 3-0 lead with her goal in the 19th minute.

Ito got her second goal in the 26th minute, while Mendoza duplicated the former’s feat five minutes later.
[B] MHS 3, Matansa 3[/B]

The third game Monday night between MHS and Matansa Football Club ended in a draw.

Becky Robles scored the first goal in the match in the seventh minute, but after only a few seconds Meena Deleon Guerrero canned the equalizer. The game remained in a deadlock after the first half, 2-2, with Jamie Rivera lighting up the scoreboard for MHS also under the eighth-minute mark and Noi Horey answering with her first goal for Matansa.

The match was still in a stalemate after the second half, as Tawny Barcinas gave Matansa its third goal in the eighth minute and Deleon Guerrero also scored a few seconds later.

[B]COMPETITIVE

Independents 2, MP United 2[/B]

In the lone game in the competitive division last Wednesday, Independents and MP United were also even.

Terra Allen and Pratoom Stoffer scored for IFC in the first and second half, respectively, while MP United was lucky to get two own goals to force a deadlock.
