[B]Chamber meeting and election tomorrow[/B]

The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will conduct its 2012 SCC board of directors and officers elections tomorrow, Nov. 2, 2011, at its November general membership meeting at the Saipan Grand Hotel. Luncheon will begin at 11:30am, and the meeting will begin at 12pm sharp.

Past president Jim Arenovski will conduct the election process. Nominations will be accepted from the floor.

SCC will also present its guest speaker, Commodore Deidre L. McLay, U.S.N. Captain for the COMPSRON III preposition vessels, after the election and before the results are made formal. (SCC)

[B]UOG math contest: November problems posted[/B]

The University of Guam Division of Mathematical Sciences hosts its annual math contest again this year and has posted the problems for the month of November at www.uog.edu/mathematics.

The contest will be held each month from October 2011 through March 2012. Overall winners will be announced in April. Challenge your mathematical mind and log onto the website to view the problems. Solutions for the November contest are due Nov. 30, 2011.Submit your solution by email to uog_math@yahoo.com.

This year we accept email submission only. Submissions must include the words “Math Contest” in the subject line of the email. In the body of the email include your name, mailing address, school, and grade. (UOG)

[B]NMI Labor to host job fair[/B]

The CNMI Department of Labor, in partnership with the business sector, will be sponsoring a job fair this Nov. 2, 2011, Wednesday, at the Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe. All U.S. citizens, CNMI permanent residents, U.S. permanent residents, and all others who are interested are invited to apply directly to companies for jobs in which they are qualified, available, and are interested to fill.
