Theft at Coral Ocean Point

Crime Stoppers is seeking the community’s assistance for information on a theft incident that occurred at Coral Ocean Point.

On Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, at about 1:30pm, the victim, a local female, 51, was with her daughter playing golf at hole No. 14. The victim heard a noise and turned to see the suspect, described as a local male wearing a brown shirt, running with their purses that were left on the golf cart. The victims pursued the suspect on a golf cart toward hole No. 13. The suspect scaled a chain link fence and escaped on a red, three-wheeled motor scooter.

Witnesses and employees saw two suspects fleeing the parking area on two three-wheeled motor scooters. The victim’s purses were recovered in the bushes near the crime scene. Over $700 cash was stolen.
