Applications for Cool Roof rebate program are now being accepted
The Commonwealth’s Residential Cool Roof Rebate Program is now available to lawful homeowners on Saipan and applications are available at the Division of Energy- Energy, Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Office located in the Springs Development Building along Chalan Pale Arnold Highway on Saipan.
Lawful homeowners residing on Saipan may complete an application to qualify for up to $3,500 for the installation and application of Cool Roof Systems to assist in reducing heat gain, thereby decreasing air conditioning needs.
Interested Saipan residents may apply to qualify, provided they meet the following minimum requirements:
* Completed and signed application form.
* Copy of valid CNMI Identification or U.S. passport.
* Three most recent utility bills showing applicant information and current installation address on Saipan, CNMI.
* Completed and signed consent to release utility billing information.
* Original cost of project completed by an approved participating vendor.
* Copy of property deed or mortgage agreement.
Applications for the CNMI Residential Cool Roof Rebate Program are available at the Division of Energy, Energy Efficiency Block Grant Office from Monday to Friday, from 7:30am to 4:30pm, except holidays, and may be downloaded from the office website at www.cnmienergy.com. Applications are being accepted starting Aug. 30, 2011, and will be processed in the order received while funds last.
Funding opportunities for the project is made possible from an ARRA grant through the US Department of Energy – Energy, Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program.
