Wild Bill’s wallops Mellow Yellow in futsal league

Goals were raining for Wild Bill’s on Wednesday, as it whipped Mellow Yellow, 15-3, in the men’s division game in the 2011 Saipan Soccer School Futsal League at the TSL Sports Complex.

The victory allowed Wild Bill’s to create more distance between them and second-running Korean Futsal Team, as the former improved to an 8-1-0 win-loss-draw record over the latter’s 6-2-1 mark.

Jeeraphong Thoensaket feasted on Mellow Yellow’s defense or the lack of it, as the Wild Bill’s striker exploded for seven goals, outscoring the entire crew of the opposing team. Jiayuan Guao also had a field day on offense for Wild Bill’s with five goals, while Lar Wongpanya, Mai Tree, and Adul Detdon logged one apiece.

Allen Mijares, Yong Sin Lim, and Jun Lin scored one goal each for Mellow Yellow, which went down from sixth to seventh spot in the team standings with its 2-7-0 slate.

[B]IT&E 8, Thundercats 3[/B]

In the other men’s game, IT&E also had an easy win, thumping the Thundercats, 8-3.

Jin Han Yoon led IT&E’s third triumph in 10 games, as he hit four goals. Seoung Joon Lee, Kirk Schuler, Aji Thomas, and Ye Jun Chai added one apiece.

Only three players scored for the Thundercats, who have yet to enter the win column after nine games.

[B]WOMEN’S

Shirley’s A 7, Mellow Yellow 3[/B]

In the women’s division, Shirley’s notched its eighth win in nine matches after downing Mellow Yellow, 7-3.

Jeraldine Castillo and Irish Pagarao connected on three goals apiece, while Marilou Gariguez recorded one to keep Shirley’s A in the lead, one victory ahead of sister team Shirley’s B.

Levita Cho scored all goals for Mellow Yellow, which fell to a 2-7-0 slate.

[B]Red Team 6, IT&E Blossom 0[/B]

Red Team snapped its two-game losing skid after a 6-0 shutout of IT&E Blossom in the other women’s tiff.

Red Team now has a 4-5-0 record, moving up to fourth from sixth place behind Shirley’s A (8-1-0) and B (7-2-0), and IT&E Awesome (6-2-1).

Zoe Jewell had a hat-trick for Red Team, while Patty Coleman, Temary Gramlich, and Jeane Bracken contributed one goal each.

IT&E Blossom is still winless in nine games and has only five matches left in the double-round robin competition.
