[B]Veteran outreach in September[/B]

This is to let all veterans and all concerned know that Tina San Agustin, Department of Veterans Affairs legal administrative specialist from Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, will be on Saipan on Sept. 28-29, 2011 for a veterans outreach on veterans federal benefits. She will be also entertaining questions and assisting with claims. The outreach will be held at the Military & Veterans Affairs Office on Capital Hill, Bldg. No. 1364, Saipan. [B]MMA exec on Marianas Agupa this Saturday[/B]

This Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, Marianas Agupa will feature Marianas Visitors Authority managing director Perry Tenorio between 10am and 10:30am on Magic 100.3 FM. The discussion will be on MVA’s program to promote the CNMI as a tourist destination.

The Chamorro Radio Talk Show Program is from 9am to 11am and is hosted by Glenn H. Manglona. Featured reports: World report and program review by former mayor Joseph S. Inos and a report from Rota with correspondent and commentator Thomas D. Mendiola; a special segment called Hafa Mohon with Juanita Mendiola and a report from Tinian by correspondent and radio commentator David M. Cing. Simultaneous Internet streaming via www.magic100radio.com will be available. (PR)

[B]Kagman High orientation set[/B]

Kagman High School orientation is set to begin Thursday and Friday this week. Attendance is mandatory! Parents and students meet in the cafeteria to go over the expectations and events planned for school year 2011-2012.

-Thursday: Freshmen meet at 9am and sophomores at 10:30am.

-Friday: Juniors meet at 9am and seniors at 1030am.

If you are a parent of multiple students in different classes, attending one orientation instead of three is fine. Schedules will be distributed. You must register to get a schedule. No registration, no schedule. (PR)

[B]Free business workshops set[/B]

The CNMI Small Business Development Center, in partnership with the Saipan Chamber of Commerce, will be conducting the following free workshop:

-How to read financial statement: Aug. 25, 9am to 11am

[B]Pacific Basin telehealth workshop set[/B]

The telehealth workshop “Telehealth Today and Tomorrow: Guam and Beyond” will be held Aug. 30 in the UOG School of Business and Public Administration, IT&E Lecture Hall, room 129 from 10am to noon.

Dr. Joe Humphry, co-principal investigator, and Bruce Best, Pacific Islands project manager, PBTRC, will present on telehealth in the Pacific and lead discussions on the value added opportunities to using telehealth.

The Pacific Basin Telehealth Resource Center provides telehealth technical assistance and program support for the Pacific Basin. The PBTRC will advance the development, implementation, and integration of telehealth.
