A woman who was among six persons who were sued by Sen. Luis P. Crisostimo in April for allegedly building a retaining wall around his land in As Lito is suing back, accusing the senator of forcefully pushing her in 2009.

Su Jie Xian sued Crisostimo for assault and battery and negligent and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Saipan Tribune tried but failed to contact Crisostimo for comment yesterday.

Xian, who filed the lawsuit without a lawyer, asked the Superior Court to order the senator to pay her damages, attorney’s fees, and court costs.

The plaintiff stated in the complaint that at 1:30pm on June 11, 2009, the power was shut off at Ming Li’s Warehouse in As Lito where she worked. At 4pm, Xian said she noticed that the electric power was still off so she called the Commonwealth Utilities Corp.

When CUC arrived, they informed Xian that there was no power outage as they discovered that the main power supply switch was turned off and the voltage cable was cut.

When the CUC maintenance team turned the main power supply back on, the crew suggested locking the main power supply box.

Xian said that, as she went back to the warehouse with an employee to lock the main power unit, Crisostimo approached and pushed her violently.

Xian said she begged Crisostimo to stop but he threw her to the ground, where she hit her back on a concrete curb.

She said she incurred medical expenses as a result of the senator’s conduct.

Last April, Crisostimo and his wife, through counsel Ramon Quichocho, sued six persons, including Xian, for unlawful trespass, construction, and encroachment on their two lots.

The senator said that sometime in 2009, Xian and Ming Qiang Liang began constructing a building in a lot adjoining the Crisostimos’ three lots.
