Superior Court presiding judge Robert C. Naraja has issued a case assignment order that distributed among the judges all cases presently being handled by associate judge Ramona V. Manglona.

In the order issued Monday, Naraja said that once the U.S. Senate confirms Manglona as a judge in the U.S. District Court for the NMI, all cases assigned to her will be issued to a secondary judge.

Naraja said that all of Manglona’s present cases will be distributed to the judges.

Naraja attached in his order a list of pending civil cases for Manglona from 2003 to 2011. The list indicates that there are 170 civil cases assigned to Manglona.

The list also shows how these 170 cases will be distributed among Naraja and associate judges David A. Wiseman, Kenneth L. Govendo, and Perry B. Inos.

The U.S. Senate confirmed Manglona on Wednesday to be the next judge for the U.S. District Court for the NMI.

With her confirmation, Manglona is expected anytime to tender her resignation as a Superior Court associate judge, a position that she has held since 2003.
