A man allegedly told his friend to wait at his house in Dandan on Saturday night as he was buying “ice” but then returned and beat up his pal with a baton.

Prisco Ongrung, 38, was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon, and assault and battery. Bail was set at $6,000 cash. He had a bail hearing yesterday afternoon in the Superior Court.

Detective Roque K. Camacho stated in his report that a police officer had responded Saturday night to a call about a disturbance at a store in Dandan

Camacho said the victim, Jordan Ongklungel, told police that Prisco had called him up at 6:30pm to come to his house in Dandan.

When Ongklungel arrived at Prisco’s house, Prisco borrowed $10 from him and told him to wait as he was going to buy “ice” from a friend.

Prisco returned at 8pm. Ongklungel asked Prisco for his share in the sale of a car. Prisco told him to be patient as the “supplier” was coming with the “ice.” Ongklungel told him that he is not there to smoke “ice” but to get his share of the money from the car’s sale.

Prisco got mad and allegedly punched the victim on the left cheek. When the victim walked over to his car, Prisco came from behind and hit Ongklungel on the left wrist with a baton. He then allegedly continued hitting the victim with the baton on the head and back.

When the victim fell to the ground, Prisco kicked him. The victim’s 4-year-old son, who was in the car, saw the beating and was crying.

Prisco’s wife came and pulled him away from Ongklungel. The victim managed to get up and drive to a store where he called the police.
