Man allegedly slams wife’s head on table
Mad at his wife for coming home drunk, a man allegedly repeatedly slammed his wife’s head on a picnic table at their house in Kagman III early Saturday morning
Responding police officers also found outside the house a marijuana plant allegedly owned by the suspect.
Christopher Magofna, 43, was arrested for assault and battery and illegal possession of a controlled substance (marijuana). His bail was set at $1,300 cash. Preliminary hearing will be on July 28.
The victim had called the Department of Public Safety on Friday at 2:26am to report a domestic violence incident at her house, according to detective Norman A.S. Rasiang’s report.
Rasiang said that when two police officers arrived at the house, the victim met them and explained that her husband, Magofna, refused to let her inside the house. The officer smelled a strong odor of alcohol from the wife’s breath.
The same officer also spotted a marijuana plant outside the house.
The victim told the officer that Magofna was angry with her when she came home after a rosary. He allegedly grabbed her by the shoulder and slammed her head on the picnic table several times.
Magofna was arrested. The following day, Magofna allegedly admitted to police that he owns the marijuana plant outside their house.
