Man allegedly punches stepmom, beats up two nieces, one nephew
A drunk man allegedly punched his stepmother and beat up his two nieces and a nephew at a residence in Chinatown Wednesday night, police said.
William C. Teregeyo, 22, was arrested for assault and battery, criminal mischief, and disturbing the peace. Bail was set at $150 cash bail and $1,350 unsecured bond. He was ordered to stay away from the four alleged victims.
Detective Catherine B. Pangelinan stated in her report that a police officer had responded to the house of Teregeyo’s stepmother in Chinatown on Wednesday after police received a call about a domestic violence at 9:34pm.
Pangelinan said the officer arrived as an out-of-control Teregeyo was being calmed down by another man. The officer secured Teregeyo inside a patrol vehicle.
When the officer entered the house, he saw one of Teregeyo’s nieces holding the suspect’s elderly stepmother, who had fainted. Medics later brought the stepmother to the hospital.
Police learned that Teregeyo had been drinking with another person when he got mad after one of his nieces refused to do something for him. He allegedly smacked her in the face. When the other niece tried to call the police, Teregeyo punched her twice in the head.
When the stepmother confronted Teregeyo, he allegedly kicked her and punched her twice in the head, causing her to faint.
Teregeyo then allegedly punched his nephew in the face and kicked a laptop.
