The Senate confirmed yesterday afternoon three of the governor’s appointees, including Frank P. Rosario who will serve a second term on the NMI Retirement Fund board of trustees.

Senators also confirmed the reappointment of Dr. Ahmad Al-Alou who will serve on the Medical Profession Licensing Board, and the appointment of former senator Diego Songao, who will serve on the Commonwealth Development Authority’s board of directors.

Each of the three appointees received a 9-0 vote from senators.

Of the three, only Rosario was present during the Senate session.

He was accompanied by his wife Niki, relatives, friends and colleagues.

“First of all, I would like to thank the governor for reappointing me, and the Senate for confirming my appointment,” Rosario told Saipan Tribune. “I ask my board of trustees colleagues to continue their hard work to find a better means to operate the Retirement Fund.”
